Council employs around 200 staff in a range of full time, part time and casual positions. Areas of employment include customer service, health, town planning, administration, library, parks and home care, and many more.
If a vacancy becomes available, Council will usually advertise it in the local newspaper ("The Wimmera Mail Times"), sometimes in the Local Government section of "The Age" newspaper, and on this website.
All Council job advertisements give a contact person who will provide a position description and further information. If a position is advertised and you feel that you would be suited to it, your application should be submitted to the person listed in the advertisement.
