Age Friendly Communities Plan
Age Friendly Communities Plan
The Horsham Rural City Council will be conducting community engagement and renewing their Age Friendly Communities Plan this year, it will be adopted in 2024.
Have your say on what should be considered in the plan via the survey.
Age Friendly Plan Survey (survey closes Friday 3 November)
Age friendly communities are places where older people live safely, enjoy good health and stay involved. Healthy ageing is the ability to live an active, safe and socially inclusive lifestyle.
Engagement with external stakeholders will take place between August and 3 November 2023. Following this Council staff and the Older Persons Advisory Committee will prioritize actions and goals for the plan.
Council will be presented with a draft plan in early 2024, which will be followed by a four week community consultation process before final changes are made and Council endorse the new plan.
