The Natimuk Economic and Social Plan will address issues and concerns within the community and create a plan to improve the economy and liveability within the town.

Over the past two years Covid 19 has impacted the economy and social connectedness within Natimuk. Prior to Covid 19 the town was a popular tourist destination and had a thriving arts community. The Natimuk Economic and Social Plan will respond with innovation and vision to meet the challenges within the Tourism and Arts Sector along with the wellbeing of the general community brought about by Covid.

The Natimuk Economic and Social Plan will design and deliver a workable, prioritised and achievable three year (2021-2024) plan that enables the Natimuk community to implement the actions identified in the plan.

Two drop in sessions and a community workshop were held on the 5th and 6th of May.

An online survey is now open:

The survey closes at 5pm Friday 27 May.

A Community Reference Group (CRG) for this project has been established that consists of community members from Natimuk and surrounds. The Reference Group will ensure timely advice is received from community representatives on behalf of the broader community. The CRG will refine the community's vision and develop guiding principles for the plan. They will assist in consolidating and summarising the community feedback. They will work with Council staff and the consultants to prepare a draft Economic and Social Plan and to develop the final plan in response to further community input.
