Pop-up Parks and Parklets
Council has installed a temporary park in Roberts Avenue, providing an urban oasis for residents and visitors.
The pop-up park features natural lawn, flower boxes and fixed seating made from recycled materials.
The aim is to create more outdoor dining opportunities for the city’s restaurant and cafe scene in a COVID-19 environment. The park provides a place where people can socialise, relax, enjoy a picnic or takeaway food.
Roberts Avenue was the site chosen for Horsham's first pop-up park, there is an opportunity to have similar parks across the city.
The public was invited to provide feedback and suggestions for other potential sites and further activations. The online survey closed on 30 June 2021.
The project is being funded jointly through HRCC’s COVID budget support allocation and the Victorian Government.
