Citizen of the Year

Simon Risson

Simon has strong connections with his local community and is an unassuming achiever with time for those around him.  Many Wimmera residents have been impacted and enriched by faithful contribution Simon has made to his community.

Community Event of the Year

Horsham Agricultural Society's 141st Horsham Show

The Horsham Show has been a significant part of the Wimmera Region and its people.  The 2019 event has showed that there was a sustainable future, with a large number of volunteers, over 150 exhibitors and close to 100 sponsors all contributing to the success of the event.
