At 11am on 11 November 1918 the guns of the Western Front fell silent after more than four years continuous warfare. In 2018, to commemorate the centenary of the Armistice that ended WWI, a series of events will be held across Horsham Rural City Council.

Exhibitions and displays will run throughout the week, and to mark the milestone year, there will be additional activities including a lighting display in Firebrace Street, Horsham and a sunset Remembrance Day Service at the Anzac Centenary Bridge.

The visual display will be projected onto Horsham Post Office, featuring First World War images and tributes to the 463 servicemen from Horsham and district who gave their lives.

The adjacent T&G Building will be floodlight in poppy red.

Sunset service attendees are invited to attach a woven red poppy provided by Horsham RSL to the bridge rail.

All citizens are requested to observe a one minute’s silence at 11am on Sunday.
