Community invited to have its say on Dudley Cornell Reserve

Horsham Rural City Council is seeking community input regarding new facilities at Dudley Cornell Reserve.

Female friendly change rooms, public toilets, a sheltered barbecue and two art pieces created at recent NorthFest events will be located within the park at locations yet to be decided.

Initial consultation with sporting groups and with some of the organisations that surround the park has already started.

However Council’s Recreation and Project Officer Mandy Kirsopp also wants to hear from individuals and families who use the park.

“Although our current focus is the placement of change rooms we want to understand movement patterns and usage of the park because this is an important recreation facility that is shared by many,” Ms Kirsopp said.

“We want to know what attracts you to the park and what facilities might be added to encourage you and your family to spend more time in the park.

“Please share your experiences with us to be included in our planning,” she said.

Ms Kirsopp encouraged people to attend the community ‘drop in’ session at the Dudley Cornell pavilion on Wednesday 27 June between 4pm and 6pm.
