The Station is our new multi purpose facility for young people, services and the community

Logo Competition

We are currently in the process of re-branding the building as 'The Station' and are running a Design a Logo competition until October 4. We are seeking expressions of interest from interested artists who would like to be involved with the installation of this artwork on the front of the building.

We are also looking to create a design for the interior wall of the building in collaboration with the Horsham Youth Council and other young people in the community who would like to be involved. This co-design process will result in the chosen artist installing the work onto the interior wall of the building.

Time Capsule Project

Horsham Youth Council is creating a time capsule and we want your input!

Most of us will see 2020 as a year we would rather forget, but wouldn't it be great to look back on this time in 10 years and be grateful that we all supported each other and got through these COVID times?

We are calling on young people to write a letter or journal about how you have felt throughout this year.

What are you looking forward to? What have you missed the most? Or you could write a letter to your future self as a reminder of this time.

All letters received will be placed in the time capsule which will be opened in 2030.

Letters can be delivered:

  • In person at hrcc civic centre (18 roberts ave) or through the mail slot at the station (14 pynsent st)
  • Emailed to: annie.mintern@hrcc.vic.gov.au
  • Post to: po box 511, horsham, vic 3402

Please address your letters to: Horsham Time Capsule project and include a return address.

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from artists to design a sculpture which will become a piece of public art and enclose the letters.

Online Challenges and Activities

The Horsham Youth Council has been running online activities to keep young people occupied while we have been in isolation. These activities have been running on the @horshamyouth social media channels.
