Dirt for motocross track

Motocross fill soil

Truckloads of fill soil have been repurposed and donated to Horsham Motorcycle Club’s Dooen Motocross Complex.

The unneeded soil was excavated during the construction of the nearby Wimmera Agriculture and Logistics Hub industrial park.

It was otherwise destined for the Dooen Landfill until contact was made with the motocross club.

Once delivered, the soil was mixed with hay by club volunteers and used for general maintenance on the 1.7km track which plays host to national and international motocross events.

Council is open to accepting expressions of interests from all community groups interested in obtaining waste materials that sporadically become available. Contact the HRCC depot on 53829610.
