Council operates an exchange program for diabetics and patients requiring other medically related injections. This program is available to residents who live in Horsham Rural City Council.
Simply visit the Council Offices and we will provide you with a free sharps container. We also exchange full sharps containers for an empty one.
Council's Environmental Health Officer collects dumped used syringes in public places.
If you find a syringe in a public place, do not handle or touch the syringe, instead call Council immediately on 03 5382 9777 and an officer will collect the syringe and dispose of it properly.
