Skate Competition

It’s time to whack on the helmet and hit the half-pipes – Horsham Rural City Council is bringing two of Australia’s leading figures in skating to the Wimmera on Sunday September 17.

Wimmera Libraries

Branches in Horsham, Edenhope, Goroke, Harrow and Kaniva are offering a wide range of arts, crafts and story times, as well as regular library services over the course of the holidays.

Especially for the September school holidays, Horsham Library will hold a craft session, best suited for children aged five and under, to create the Rhymetime-famous musical egg shakers for $1 per egg! Parents can participate

It's happening on Tuesday September 19 at 2pm. You can also take the kit home! Book via the Wimmera Libraries website.

Horsham Library is also holding Storytime Sessions on Fridays at 10.30am. They are an inclusive reading and listening opportunity with a special craft at the end, suitable for children aged 4-6.

On Wednesdays, they also hold Rhymetime sessions at 10.30am for children aged newborn to four, which aids in cognitive thinking, hand-eye coordination and enriched caregiving.

Enjoy the experience of creating, making and acquiring new art skills by enrolling in our Horsham Regional Art Gallery School Holiday Program.

Week 1

  • Wednesday September 20: Creating Animals: Wool Felting with Rachel (Senior Session)
  • Thursday September 21: Felting Pictures with Rachel (Junior Session)

Note:  – The Felting activity involves the use of sharp needles which may inflict a small non serious injury to fingers. The sessions have been split into junior and senior to support a range of skills levels. If younger children would like to try animal felting, they are still welcome to do so, but may need the support of a parent.

Week 2 

  • Tuesday September 26:  Lino Printing with Emily SESSION 1
  • Wednesday September 27:  Lino Printing with Emily SESSION 2
