We are seeking community feedback from 25 April 2023 to 9 May 2023 on the proposed changes to the Governance Rules in accordance with section 60(4) of the Act, and hereby invite public submissions in relation to the following:
The amendments that Council has identified to include and/or amend set out to improve our Governance Rules processes. Also the Municipal Monitor’s recommended actions have been considered/actioned as part of our Governance Rules review.
The 11 proposed changes capture some practices that are already currently in place and further amendments made to several minor updates within the rules to increase efficiencies and to delete several clauses or part clauses which are no longer applicable.
The proposed amendments have been noted in track changes on the current HRCC Governance Rules template, which was originally based on a template from Maddocks legal firm and is now provided for consideration and discussion.
