Partnerships Against Pests Project - Community Information and Demonstration Day
On Sat the 10th May in Laharum we will be working closely with the Centre for Invasive Species Solutions, the Landcare community, landholders and agencies to deliver a hands-on demonstration day discussing invasive plant and animal species, the latest science and best practice in delivering control. These sessions are part of the Partnerships Against Pests projects funded by the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action.

What is the Partnership Against Pest Project?

Funded by Agriculture Victoria, this project aims to significantly boost community awareness and technical knowledge of best practice management options for invasive species. There will be a comprehensive resource kit that's tailored to each region’s priorities and include all the best practice advice from our area expert partners. These workshops are designed to enhance community understanding and engagement in invasive species management.
The day will offer a chance to meet other local landholders and share knowledge, experiences and expertise.

Field Demos:
Rabbit behaviour and signs of presence
Rabbit fumigation (use of smoker and how to manage/treat entrances)
Bait trails and free feeding
Warren destruction/ripping
Canid Pest Ejector
Tracks/scats and signs of feral species
Exclusion fencing
