Tree to be removed in Peppertree Park

The large Peppercorn tree at Peppertree Park in Jung has experienced a major failure with one of its main trunks.

Upon inspection by Council’s arborist, significant faults were identified in the remaining parts of the tree.

For the safety of park users, Council has no choice but to remove the tree, given its high-risk location.

The Parks & Gardens team will plant replacement trees in the winter to provide shade for the area.

Council is responsible for keeping public spaces safe, this includes monitoring and removing hazardous trees.

If residents have any queries please contact (5382 9609) Coordinator of Parks and Gardens for further information.
