With IDAHoBIT Day fast approaching, Wimmera Pride Project is busy planning a breakfast for the May 17 event.

The breakfast will be held at the Park from 7.30am to 8am on the day.

IDAHoBIT Day (International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia and Transphobia) is a celebration of the LGBTIQ+ community and aims to raise awareness of the discrimination the community still faces.

IDAHoBIT is celebrated on May 17 each year, as this is the date The World Health Organization removed homosexuality from its Classification of Diseases in 1990.

There are many ways to recognise the day and champion inclusivity, including wearing rainbow colours, supporting our local LGBTQI+ community and standing up against homophobia, biphobia, interphobia, transphobia and other prejudices and stereotypes.
