Have Your Say: Council Seeks Feedback on 10-Year Asset Plan
Published on 07 October 2025
Horsham Rural City Council is inviting the community to provide feedback on one of the key pillars of its long-term planning — the Draft Asset Plan 2025–35.
This 10-year plan outlines Council’s strategic and operational approach to managing community assets in a financially sustainable way. It details the investment required over the life of each major asset class to ensure these facilities continue to support essential services across the municipality.
Included in the Asset Plan are projections for managing and maintaining:
- Roads
- Kerbs and channels
- Bridges and major culverts
- Buildings and other structures
- Footpaths and pathways
- Stormwater drainage
- Recreation and open space
The Draft Asset Plan 2025–2035 is now available for public review, and Council is seeking input from community members to help shape its final version.
Public consultation is open from Monday 6 October until 20 October 2025, and all residents are encouraged to have their say on how Council maintains and improves key infrastructure over the next decade.
This plan builds upon the strong community feedback already gathered through the development of the Horsham 2041 Community Vision and the Council Plan 2025–2029, which involved more than 400 participants. These two documents capture the community’s long-term aspirations and outline Council’s strategic direction for the next four years.
Together, the Community Vision, Council Plan, and Asset Plan form the roadmap for delivering sustainable infrastructure and services well into the future.
