The Wizard of Oz Returns to Horsham Town Hall

The Horsham Arts Council (HAC) and Horsham Rural City Council (HRCC) today released the following media statement regarding the return of The Wizard of Oz to the Horsham Town Hall.

HAC has been working closely with HRCC to reschedule and confirm dates for its’ upcoming performance The Wizard of Oz at the Horsham Town Hall. 

HRCC Mayor Cr Brian Klowss said, ”HRCC staff met several times with representatives from Horsham Arts Council to identify alternate dates following the alleged security breach at the venue on 1 April 2026.

‘HRCC informed Horsham Arts Council that their show would be affected and have remained mindful of the seriousness of the situation and the impact this has had on the community. The Horsham Town Hall has been inspected and cleared by authorities.

“Horsham Arts Council shows are an important highlight of the Horsham Town Hall calendar and a significant contributor to Horsham’s creative vitality. The rescheduling of the Wizard of Oz has taken priority to ensure the show can return with minimal disruption and programming at the venue can return to normal as soon as possible’

HAC President and Director, Erin Boutcher said, “I would like to personally thank the cast, crew, and production team of The Wizard of Oz, along with our local arts community, for their professionalism, resilience, and dedication during what has been a challenging and uncertain time.

‘The cast and crew of our current production, The Wizard of Oz, have continued to rehearse while waiting for confirmation of new dates. Once safe, the Horsham Arts Council wanted to be the first local company back in the venue. The performing art group are thrilled to confirm the rescheduled dates for The Wizard of Oz:

Opening Night:  Thurs 11 June - Sunday 21 June 2026

Release of new tickets will go on sale 12 noon Tues 28 April

Tickets will be available for purchase from the Horsham Town Hall website www.horshamtownhall.com.au or from the Horsham Town Hall Box Office at 71 Pynsent St, Horsham

Transfer of tickets and honouring preexisting purchases will take priority.

For anyone holding pre purchased or reserved tickets from the previous show dates, staff at Horsham Town Hall will be in contact over coming days to confirm ‘like for like’ day and time transfers.
