Council hears feedback on Natimuk Road works
Council has recently completed key works as part of the Natimuk Road bike path upgrade, including improvements to the median and sections of the service road along the northern side. These upgrades were designed by engineering consultants in accordance with current road safety standards, with the aim of enhancing safety for cyclists and other road users.
Council acknowledges that some residents have raised concerns regarding the appearance of the newly installed reflective bollards, noting that their bright colouring contrasts with the surrounding heritage-listed properties. This impact on the visual character of the area was not fully anticipated during the planning phase, and we appreciate the community taking the time to share their feedback.
In response, Council is now exploring alternative treatments that will continue to meet required safety standards while reducing visual impact. Residents along the affected sections of Natimuk Road will be invited to provide input on these options before any changes are finalised and implemented.
