Notice of proposal to sell Council property

Horsham Rural City Council gives notice under section 189 of the Local Government Act 1989 of its intention to sell land at Burnt Creek Drive, Bungalally, shown marked in red on the proposed plan of subdivision below as:

  • Proposed Lot 12 (5.05 hectares) as part of Lot S2 PS641596
  • Proposed Lot 15 (1.41 hectares) incorporating Lot 1, part of Lot 2 and part of Section 2 PS 641596
  • Proposed Lot 16 (3.18 hectares) as part of Lot 2 PS617139
  • Proposed Lot 17 (3.18 hectares) incorporating Lot 4 PS421087 and part of Lot 2 PS617139
  • Lot 3 PS641596 (1.452 hectares)
  • Title Plan Lot 3 PS421087 (10 hectares)

The proposal is that Council sell the separate parcels as shown, for purchase at not less than the market value of each parcel. Sale of the land will be via expression of interest conducted by Council’s appointed licenced real estate agent.

Any person may make a submission on Council’s proposal to sell the Land. Submissions must be in writing and received no later than 5pm Wednesday 31 March 2021.

All submissions will be considered in accordance with section 223 of the Act.

Submissions should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer and can be emailed to council@hrcc.vic.gov.au, hand delivered to the Council Civic Centre at 18 Roberts Avenue, Horsham, or posted to the following address:

All submissions will be considered public documents unless specified otherwise.

Any person requesting to be heard in support of his or her submission is entitled to be heard before Council (or its committee established by Council for this purpose), or represented by a person acting on his or her behalf, and will be notified of the time and date of the hearing.
