Burnt Creek Dirt Jumps get green light to continue

At Council’s July 2026 meeting, Councillors heard the outcomes of a trial at the Burnt Creek Dirt Jumps that ran from July 2025 to June 2026. Outcomes of the trial were assessed against a Dirt Jumps Management Plan, which was introduced to better manage safety, maintenance, and cultural and environmental risks at the site.

Council backs recreation master planning bid and Natimuk

The application covers master planning for the Laharum Recreation Reserve, Quantong Recreation Reserve, and the Central Park Community Sports Precinct (the area north of the Skate park, including the Netball Courts, CFA Track and Tennis Courts). Council will also support the rebuilding of Natimuk Bowling Club.

Councils Call for Stronger Community Voice in Energy Trasmission Plan

Jointly developed by nine councils, the submission responds to the development of Victoria's next Victorian Transmission Plan and calls for planning processes that better reflect local knowledge, recognise cumulative impacts and ensure regional communities benefit from the state's energy transition.
