Horsham Rural City Council are excited to welcome Leesha and Malavika Gunaseelan who will open ‘Rooh’ at Horsham Town Hall on Wednesday 16 September, a modern café and bar.

Guna, an internationally trained chef, will create house-made dishes with a focus on quality fresh produce and simple fare. As the operators for the in-house restaurant at Stawell’s National Hotel, the community response was enthusiastically shared when they announced their new business venture on social media. The couple intends to run both businesses.

Due to the pandemic, the business will initially open for takeaway meals for lunch and evening, to introduce the region to their plans for all-day dining experiences for visitors.

Trading hours will be 10am – 8pm, seven days per week.

Horsham Rural City Council Mayor Mark Radford said, “We are excited about the plans for the restaurant space at the Town Hall and look forward to working with Leesha and Guna to create a place for visitors and community to come and enjoy great food and hospitality”.
