Horsham Rural City Council has provided progress updates for its three major urban reconstructions currently under way by contractors.

Federation Avenue - Kalimna St to Drummond St – Pavement is nearing completion, with sealing programmed to be undertaken once weather is suitable.

Fechler Avenue – Kerb and channel construction to be undertaken next week, pavement construction will then continue.

Johnson Street – Concrete works expected to begin in the coming weeks, with pavement construction to continue once the weather is more suitable.

Meanwhile drainage pipe replacement works are also happening across the city.

Pipes are being replaced on Wawunna Road at the intersection of Edward Street and these works will be completed early next week.

Drainage works also began this week on Dimboola Road between the Victoria Hotel and the Swift Carwash and they are scheduled to be completed within two weeks.

The construction of a pedestrian crossing outside the entrance to Wimmera Base Hospital is also progressing. The crossing is now operational, with final sealing works being completed early next week.

While contractors are carrying out the above projects, HRCC’s internal operations crews are continuing their regular repair and maintenance programs throughout the municipality.

There are also various rural roads receiving maintenance or reconstruction.
